Funeral Services for Patricia A. “Pat” Lynch will be conducted on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Holdrege, Nebraska with Reverend Dale Lambert officiating. Interment will be held in the Prairie Home Cemetery at Holdrege.

Patricia Ann “Pat” (Gillespie) Lynch, 80 years of age of Holdrege, passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at the Christian Homes Care Community in Holdrege. She was born on April 3, 1932 in Kearney, Nebraska, the youngest of four children born to Stewart W. and Eva M. (Noyes) Gillespie. She grew up and received her education in Kearney, graduating from Kearney High School with the class of 1950. She was active in music and sports while in school.

In September of 1950, she was united in marriage to Robert L. “Bob” Lynch and to this union 5 children were born: DeAnn, Denise, Daniel, Dawn and Dean. DeAnn and Denise both passed away at birth. The family made their home in Holdrege. Bob passed away on March 10, 1993.

Pat was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Holdrege, where she taught Sunday school and was a sponsor with her husband, Bob for the MYF group.

She was an avid golfer at the Holdrege County Club for many years and loved to dance and play bridge with her husband, Bob. She was also a talented seamstress, making draperies and upholstering furniture.

Pat was employed at the J. M. McDonalds store, the KUVR radio in Holdrege, and McGrath Laboratories’ in McCook Nebraska.

Besides her parents and husband, Bob, Pat was preceded in death by two daughters: DeAnn and Denise in infancy; a grandson, Kiel Lynch; one brother, Donald; two sisters: LaVonne and Lois; and one brother-in-law, Gilbert “Gib” Gorgen.

Pat is survived by her three children: Daniel Lynch and his wife, Barbara of Kearney, Dawn Lynch of Kearney, and Dean Lynch and his wife, Carie of Holdrege; 3 grandchildren: Lucas Lynch and his wife, Amber and their two daughters of Lincoln, Nebraska; Kaci Richter and her husband, Dan and their two daughters of Omaha, Nebraska; Michael Lynch and his wife, Cassie and their two sons of Farmington, Minnesota; one sister-in-law, Betty Gorgen of Kearney; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 20, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the family greeting friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege.

A memorial has been established in her memory and kindly suggested to the First United Methodist Church in Holdrege.
