Kenneth was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Axtell, where he served on the Church council for many years. He also served 12 years on the Axtell CO-OP Board, was a volunteer fireman, and was elected to the Kearney County Weed Board.

After retirement, Kenny and Jeanne enjoyed traveling with friends and playing golf.

Kenny was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was devoted to Jeanne for over 10 years during her illness, later moving to assisted living himself.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jeanne on November 2, 2009; one granddaughter, Lisa Weis; sister, Ruth Peterson; sisters-in-law: Laurene Anderson, Maggie Erickson and Irene Hedberg; and brothers-in-law: Robert Moore and Newt Moore.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with the family greeting from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Axtell, Nebraska.
