Memorial Services for Jerry Carbaugh will be held on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Holdrege, Nebraska with Reverend Dale Lambert officiating. Inurnment will be held at the Prairie Home Cemetery at Holdrege.
Jerry Morgan Carbaugh, 65 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2013 at his home in Holdrege. Jerry was born March 29, 1948 at Cambridge, Nebraska, the third of seven children born to Edgar and Marcia I. (Casebolt) Carbaugh. He received his primary education from Arapahoe Public Schools and then attended Cambridge High School, later earning his GED in 1977.
He was united in marriage to Patsy and to this union one son was born: Jerry. He was later united in marriage to Cheryl Ohlson, bringing one daughter, Angie into this union, with three children being born: Tanya, Chris and Jeremy. The family made their home in Holdrege.
Jerry was a member of the United Methodist Church, recently receiving his 50 year pin.
He enjoyed wood working, fishing, hunting and singing. Jerry enjoyed being around his family, trying to spend as much time as possible with them.
Besides his parents; he was preceded in death by a son, Steven in infancy; two brothers: Aaron Carbaugh in infancy and Jon Carbaugh.
He leaves to mourn his passing; his sons: Jerry Carbaugh and his fiance, Jessica Samuelson of Cambridge, Nebraska, Chris Carbaugh and his wife, Drew of Holdrege, Jeremy Carbaugh and his fiancé, Jenny Pierce of Holdrege; one daughter, Tanya Harvey and her husband, Tim of Lincoln, Nebraska; 11 grandchildren: Nyleigh, Preston, Madison, Jaydon, Coy, Chloe, Claire, Paisley, Cain, Jaycee and Paityn; two brothers: Alan Carbaugh and Lee Carbaugh both of Ft. Worth, Texas, three sisters: Linda Leisure of Omaha, Nebraska, Nancy Judd and her husband, Rick of McCook, Nebraska, Marlene Svoboda and her husband, Tom of McCook, Nebraska; sister-in-law, Barbara Carbaugh of Rockwall, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorial Book Signing will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with the family greeting friends from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege.
