Alice Elizabeth Elliott

Graveside Services for Alice E. Elliott will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Michael David officiating. Interment will be in the Orleans Cemetery.

Alice Elizabeth Elliott, 83 years of age, of Orleans, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at her home in Orleans. She was born on October 1, 1928, the eldest of four children born to Alton B. and Agnes Marie (Garris) Coleman. Alice grew up in Akron, Ohio, where she received her education.

Following her education, she was employed in the Willow Mills in Ohio and was caretaker and helped raise her two brothers due to her mother's passing at a young age.

On April 29, 1954 Alice was united in marriage Donald William Elliott, Sr. The family made their home in Akron, Ohio for several years before moving to Kearney, Nebraska and later in years settling to Orleans.

On July 9, 1982 she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald.

Besides her parents and husband, Donald, Alice was preceded in death by her eldest son, Edward Wanchick; and two brothers and one sister.

She leaves to mourn her passing her five children: Rebbecca Wanchick of Denver, Colorado, Rosetta Paulsen and her husband, Doc of Kearney, Nebraska, Donald W. Elliott Jr. and his wife, Ana of Orleans, Alice Smith and her husband, Mike of Hills City, Kansas and Lucy Elliott of Upland, Nebraska; and a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren

A private family visitation will be held to honor Alice's wish.

A memorial has been established in her memory and will be designated at a later date.
