Alice C. Jackson

Funeral Services for Alice C. Jackson will be conducted from the Christian Homes Care Community Chapel in Holdrege, Nebraska on Monday, October 25, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with Chaplain DeWane Dow and Wayne Carlson, officiating. Interment will be in the Wilcox Cemetery at Wilcox, Nebraska.

Alice Carol Jackson, 85 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away on Friday, October 22, 2010 at the Christian Homes Care Community in Holdrege. Alice was born December 4, 1924 at Kerkhoven, Minnesota, to Nimrod Abraham and Esther Augusta (Peterson) Fanberg. She attended school at Kerkhoven, graduating with class of 1941. She then attended college at Trinity Bible School in Chicago.

On June 7, 1944 she was united in marriage to Rev. Reynold "Jack" Jackson and to this union two children were born: Kendall and Keith. The family followed Rev. Jackson as he served churches in Kentucky, Minnesota and Nebraska. The last church they served at was the Evangelical Free Church in Funk, Nebraska. Jack passed away on October 11, 2004.

Alice enjoyed music, playing piano, singing and all of the activities as a pastor's wife in the various churches they served.

Besides her parents and husband, Jack she was preceded in death by three brothers: Frank Fanberg, Gene Fanberg, and Gordon Fanberg and two sisters: Louise Smith and Florence Webb.

She leaves to mourn her passing two sons: Ken Jackson and his wife, Star of Billings, Montana, Keith Jackson and his wife, Karen of Mound, Minnesota; seven grandchildren: Jason Jackson of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, Christopher Jackson of San Diego, California, Chad Jackson and his wife, Emily of Billings, Charlie Jackson and his wife, Mindy of Billings, Karisa Jackson of Big Lake, Minnesota, Alyssa Jackson and Brianna Jackson both of Billings, three great-grandchildren, Abbigail Jackson, Annalyse Jackson, Elizabeth Grace Jackson; three sisters: Beta Anderson of Denver, Colorado, Doris Ludeman of Green Lake, Minnesota, Joyce Lenger of Grand Rapids, Michigan; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 24, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege.

A memorial has been established in her memory and will be designated at a later date.
