Allen Richard Muirhead, 64 years of age, of Alma, Nebraska passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney, Nebraska. Allen was born on September 28, 1961, in Oberlin, Kansas, the youngest of three children, born to LeRoy Allen and Shirley Ann (Ufford) Muirhead. He attended grade school in Leota, KS until the family relocated to Holdrege, Nebraska where he received his education and graduated from Holdrege Public Schools, with the class of 1979.

Following his education, Allen began working for Artistic Woven Labels in Holdrege. After their closing, Allen then began work for Becton Dickinson in Holdrege.  For the past 13 years, Allen has continued to work for the Harlan County Roads Department, until his passing.

On March 3, 1984, Allen was united in marriage to Monica Rhea. This union was blessed with two daughters:  Katie May Muirhead and Abby Ann Muirhead.

In 2011, Allen met the love of his life, Traci Rhoades. They were secretly married on April 1, 2023, as a surprise to family and friends. They enjoyed doing everything together. They were inseparable, from Trials events, family celebrations, and adventures they went on.

One of Allens greatest joys in life was spending time with his family and friends. At a young age, he began riding motorcycles, which continued to be a passion until his last breath. He enjoyed riding motocross, enduros, hare scrambles, but his biggest passion, was riding trials and he was an avid, long-time member of the MWTA Trials Organization.

Allen also loved music and had an amazing knowledge of so many songs and lyrics. Overall, his greatest accomplishment other than being a father to his girls, was being a grandfather to his five grandkids and a hero to his little buddy, Jett. He enjoyed spending as much time with all his grandchildren and getting to teach them so many things. From riding motorcycles, to singing them his made-up McDonald's song; he taught them things they will remember forever.

Allen will be remembered for being a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend to so many.  For his smooth riding skills during events. His passion for music. His dumb dad jokes that he annoyed his daughters with. His willingness to help anyone when they needed him. But most of all, Allen will always be remembered for his laughter and smile that he shared with so many.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Kip Muirhead; a sister, Kim Miller; grandparents; nephew, Michael Muirhead; and step-children:  Ciera, Keelie, and Tye Payne.

He leaves to celebrate his life:  his wife Traci Muirhead of Alma; daughters: Katie Joy and husband, Drew of Smith Center (KS); and Abby Muirhead of Minden; a brother-in-law, Ron Miller of Virginia; a sister-in-law, Jun Muirhead of Michigan; grandchildren: Mayzee, Jett, River, and Rowyn, and adoptive grandson Barrett Fecht; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many close friends.
