A Funeral Service for Angie (Florom) Ommert Werner will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Holdrege, Nebraska, with Pastor Jean Clayton officiating. Interment will follow at the Prairie Home Cemetery at Holdrege.
Angela Joy "Angie" (Florom) Ommert Werner, 61 years of age, of Aurora, Nebraska, formerly of Holdrege, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 15, 2025. Angie was born in Holdrege, on January 23, 1964, the second of three children, born to Ronald W. and Patricia (Moline) Florom. She received her education from Holdrege Public Schools and graduated with the Holdrege High School, class of 1982. She pursued higher education from Kearney State College and attained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Angie was united in marriage to Randy Ommert. The couple were blessed with three children: Katrina, Josh, and Rachel. Angie was then married to Dan Werner and they were blessed with a son, Ian Werner.
Angie was a member of the Grand Island Alano Group.
Angie enjoyed spending time with her children and later grandchildren. She was an artist and enjoyed creative expression with painting, baking, and soaps. Angie was a skilled and intelligent nurse, and loved to help others.
Angie was preceded in death by her father, Ronald in 2017; and her grandparents: Fred and Tresa Moline; and Delbert and Lillie Florom.
Angie is survived by her children: Josh Ommert and his wife, Kellie of Aurora, Nebraska; Katrina Ommert of Lincoln, Nebraska; Rachel Brehm and her husband, Corey of Aurora; and Ian Werner of Omaha, Nebraska; her mother, Pat Moore and her husband, Clark of Holdrege; seven grandchildren: Londyn and Memphis Ommert; Adler, Autumn, and Alek Franson; Huxton and Hawke Brehm; her brothers, Brian Florom and his wife, Reesa of Laramie, Wyoming; and Dennis Florom and his wife, Julie of Lincoln, Nebraska; along with other relatives, and friends.
A private visitation will be held.
A memorial has been established in Angie's honor to the family for future designation.
