Anna H. "Angie" Luke, 83 years of age, of Oxford, passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at her home in Oxford. Angie was born March 10, 1933 in Vienna, Austria, the 10th of 11 children born to Karl and Anna  (Zach) Nabicht. She received her education in Vienna. Following her education, Angie was employed as a hostess in resorts in Austria.

During the Korean War, Angie met Stanley Max "Stan" Luke while he was serving in the United States Army in Salzburg, Austria. The couple was united in marriage in Vienna, and in addition, their vows were blessed in America on April 1, 1953 on the East Coast after returning home to the states. To this union two children were born:  Larry and Kenneth.

The family made their home in Cody, Wyoming, where they owned a small motel, which Angie ran while Stan worked in road construction. They welcomed the hunters who stayed at their motel to her dinner table and they stayed in touch for many years. Stan and Angie enjoyed going to dances. In 1976, Angie and Stan moved to Oxford, where they engaged in farming. Besides being a farmwife and mother, Angie loved to volunteer for many years, giving back to their community.

Angie was a member of the United Methodist Church in Oxford, member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. Angie loved to play cards and bingo, camp, go to the horse races, and enjoyed fishing as well.  Angie bowled for many years with various Oxford teams; making it to state bowling.  She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and quilting.  She always had a special place in her heart for animals. Although she wasn't a sports fan, she was a huge Husker fan.

During their retirement years, the couple enjoyed wintering in Yuma, Arizona. On April 16, 2013, Angie was preceded in death by her husband, Stan.

Besides her parents and husband, Angie was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.

Angie leaves to celebrate her life: her two sons; Larry Luke and his wife, Kristi, of Loveland, Colorado, and Ken Luke of Oxford; four grandsons: Nathan Luke and his wife, Natalie, Kamden Luke, Shawn Luke and his wife, Kathern, and Sy Luke and his wife, Melissa; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Inga Ziska of Vienna; sister-in-law, Betty Wright of McCook, Nebraska; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
