Memorial Graveside Services for Ardis J. Hull will be conducted on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Riverside Cemetery in Gibbon, Nebraska with Reverend Jean Clayton officiating.

Ardis Jane Hull, 94 years of age, of Holdrege, Nebraska (formerly of Gibbon) passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at the Holdrege Memorial Homes. Ardis was born on October 26, 1915 at Ohiowa, Nebraska, the seventh of eight children of Thomas E. and Nancy (Walker) Guthrie. She received her education at Gibbon, graduating from the Gibbon High School.

Following her education, Ardis was united in marriage to George W. Hull and to this union two children were born: Mona Lou and Donald L.

The family made their home in Central City, Nebraska, where Ardis worked side-by-side on the farm with George and devoted her life to her family. In 1968, she was preceded in death by George. Following the death of her husband, she returned to Gibbon and was employed by Baldwin Filters in Kearney, Nebraska. In 2003, she relocated to Holdrege to be near her daughter.

Ardis will be remembered for her strong work ethic, assisting with the grounds, mowing at the Prairie Home Cemetery in Holdrege until she was in her 80s.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her two children: daughter, Mona Cohagan of Holdrege, son, Donald Hull and his wife, Valaire of Eureka, Nevada; four grandchildren: Cindy Mayo and her husband, Gary of Funk, Nebraska, Mickey Cohagan and his wife, Sheri of Lincoln, Nebraska, Rusty Cohagan of Phoenix, Arizona and P. J. Vaughn and her husband, Lionel of Santa Clara, California; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

There will be no visitation as the family is honoring her wish for cremation.

A memorial has been established in her memory and will be designated at a later date.
