Arlene was a skilled fur seamstress and also worked for Haeker Furriers, since 1962.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Orleans, the United Methodist Church in Alma, and the Order of Eastern Star. She also was a member of the Busy Bee Club, until it was discontinued.
