Arlyne V Clark

Graveside Services and interment for Arlyne V. Clark will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at the Prairie Home Cemetery in Holdrege, Nebraska with Chaplain DeWane Dow, officiating.

Arlyne Victoria Clark, 87 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege.  She was born December 15, 1926 at Kanorado, Kansas, the youngest of five children born to Arthur Otto and Anna (Anderson) Windell.  She received her primary education from a country school in Kit Carson, County in Colorado.  Arlyne then attended high school in Burlington, Colorado.

Following her education, Arlyne was united in marriage to Kenneth G. Clark and to this union ten children were born:  Dennis, Merlyn, Karin, Vickie, Rodney, Mark, Sheryl, Lonnie, Donna, and Steve.  When the children were young, Arlyne focused her efforts on being a homemaker and stay at home Mom.  In 1980, she moved to Holdrege and began working at Becton-Dickinson for a brief time before being employed at Methodist Memorial Homes for 15 years in the laundry department prior to her retirement.

Arlyne enjoyed crocheting, loved to read, word search puzzles and most of all loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Rodney Clark; one daughter, Donna Wyman; one granddaughter, Cathy Baasch; three brothers:  Milo Windell and his wife, Kathy, Dean Windell and Wayne Windell; and one sister, Verlyn Johnson and her husband, Oscar.

Arlyne leaves to mourn her passing; her eight children:  Dennis Clark and his wife, Joan of Hastings, Nebraska, Merlyn Clark and his wife, Linda of Ragan, Nebraska, Karen Riepe and her husband, James of Englewood, Colorado, Vickie Carr and her husband, Manford of Ottawa, Kansas, Mark Clark and his wife, Leah of Alma, Nebraska, Sheryl Moulton and her husband, Jerry of Holdrege, Lonnie Clark and his wife, Lori of Longmont, Colorado, and Steve Clark and his wife, Cindy of Oxford, Nebraska; son-in-law, Craig Wyman of Gothenburg, Nebraska; 19 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren; great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. with the family greeting friends from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege.

A memorial has been established in Arlyne's honor and kindly suggested to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
