Becki Louthan

Rebecca Louthan, 59 years of age, of Holdrege, Nebraska, passed away peacefully at her home in Holdrege on Wednesday, February 17, 2010.

Becki was born August 20, 1950 in Oxnard, California, the youngest of three daughters of Frank and Esther (Perez) Pacheco. She grew up in Camarillo, California and graduated from Camarillo High School in 1968.

On October 13, 1973, she was united in marriage to Richard Louthan in Charleston, South Carolina and to this union two children were born: a son, Tallon, and a daughter, Jennifer. The family lived in Nebraska and California before settling to Loomis, Nebraska to raise their family. Becki worked as a cook at the Holdrege Senior Center and at the Loomis Public Schools. After her children had grown and left home, they moved to Holdrege, where Becki was employed in housekeeping at Methodist Memorial Homes until her failing health caused her to retire.

Becki loved to make everyone feel special. She was a very good cook and took special pride in her fudge and brownies. She loved to feed and watch the birds, play bingo, watch her favorite shows, and dote on her grandchildren and her cat, Cleocatra.

Becki was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, John Louthan, and mother-in-law, Patricia Louthan.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Richard "Rick" Louthan of Holdrege; son, Tallon Louthan and his wife, Misty of Bartlett, Illinois; daughter, Jennifer Kasl and her husband, George of Dorchester, Nebraska; granddaughters: Emma Kasl, Cassidy Jo Olson, and Quinn Kasl; sisters: Frances "Terri" Settlemire of Holdrege, Rose Rosenquist of Camarillo, CA; a half-sister, Jovie Cosens and her husband, Michael of Idaho Falls, Idaho; father-in-law, Robert Louthan of Edison, Nebraska; brother-in-law, Randy Louthan of Loomis; sisters-in-law: Bonnie Louthan of Mooreville, North Carolina, and Cherri Gentzler and her husband, Tom of Indianola, Iowa; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
