A Memorial Service and Military Honors for Betty Ann Walker will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Christian Homes Chapel, Holdrege, Nebraska, with Chaplain DeWane Dow officiating.
A private family inurnment will be held at the Indianola Cemetery, Indianola, Nebraska, at a future time.
Betty Ann Walker, 73 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at Christian Homes, Holdrege. Betty was born October 7, 1951 in Yates Center, Kansas, to Floyd and Anna Bell (Deller) Lenhart. She graduated from Madison High School, Madison, Kansas in 1969.
On November 23, 1969, Betty enlisted into the United States Marine Corps in Kansas City, Missouri. She was honorably discharged April 23, 1971, at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
Betty worked for Paulsen's Inc. as a Flagger, Tyson in Lexington, Nebraska, and later in life, at C-Plus Convenience in Bertrand, Nebraska. She was married to Ben Walker until they divorced.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents.
Betty is survived by her children; son, Phillip Hulslander of Ocala, Florida; and Amanda Billings and husband, Korey of Phillipsburg, Kansas; grandchildren: Xander Hulslander; and Brittney Shank; her siblings: Gail Langer and Andy of Cheyenne, Wyoming; Brenda Grubbs and Randy of Hugoton, Kansas; Gwen Hahn and Bernie of Lyndon, Kansas; Anita Yates and Don of Anselmo, Nebraska; and Mike Lenhart and Jacque of Bedford, Iowa; along with extended family members.
There will not be a visitation, viewing, or memorial book signing the evening prior to the service. The family has honored her wish for cremation.
Memorials in Betty's honor are suggested to the family for future designation.
