Celebration of Life Service for Bonnie (Wilbur) White will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege, Nebraska with Reverend Daren Popple, officiating. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
Bonita Fay (Wilbur) "Bonnie" White, 62 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at the CHI Health – Good Samaritan in Kearney, Nebraska, following a courageous battle with cancer. Bonnie was born December 24, 1955 in Beaver City, Nebraska, the second of thirteen children born to Lester Lee and Norma Jean (Linner) Wilbur. She received her primary education from Orleans Public School, and then graduating from Wilcox High School with the class of 1974.
Following her education, on December 6, 1977 she was blessed by the birth of her daughter, Misty Anne. They made their home in several communities throughout Nebraska, where Bonnie focused her efforts on the needs of providing for her daughter. After settling to Holdrege, Bonnie was employed by Becton-Dickinson for many years. In later years, Bonnie resided in Searchlight, Nevada to be near some of her siblings. She then returned to Nebraska, and enjoyed a special relationship with her life partner, Ron for the next 15 years, prior to his passing. In recent years, Bonnie cherished the time spent with her daughter, and beloved granddaughters as she resided in Sedona, Arizona. They were the center of her world. In 2017, she returned to Nebraska to be near family due to failing health.
Besides her parents and her life partner, Ron Phillips; Bonnie was preceded in death by a brother, Rodney Wilbur; and a niece, Kindra Wilbur.
Bonnie leaves to celebrate her life; her daughter, Misty Cramer of Kearney; two granddaughters: Mackenzie Fay and Maycee Mae of Kearney; eight brothers: Steve Wilbur and his wife, Jodi of Lincoln; Gary Wilbur of Topeka, Kansas; Tom Wilbur and his wife, Leighann of Topeka; Kenny Wilbur and his wife, Debbie of Harvard, Nebraska; Mark Wilbur and his wife, Karen of Holdrege; Robert Wilbur of Holdrege; Mike Wilbur and his wife, Deb of Franklin, Nebraska; and Brad Wilbur and his wife, Trish of Olathe, Kansas; three sisters: Sandy Whetstine and her husband, John of Holdrege; Roxie Penner and her husband, Dave of Dalhart, Texas; and Janis Hartwell and her husband, Dell of Holdrege; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
There will be no visitation, the family is honoring Bonnie's wish for cremation.
A memorial has been established in Bonnie's honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
