Funeral Services for Bradley Dale Nelson will be on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege, Nebraska with Pastor Murray Jones officiating, casual attire is requested as you come to celebrate Bradley's life. Following the traditional funeral and visitation, cremation will take place and a private family inurnment will be held at a later date.

Bradley Dale Nelson, 58 years of age, of Grand Island, Nebraska, formerly of Loomis, Nebraska, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at CHI Health – St. Francis in Grand Island. Bradley was born January 20, 1958 in Nebraska City, Nebraska to Dale V. and Arlene (Abramson) Nelson. He received his education from Loomis High School and graduated with the class of 1976.

Following his graduation, Bradley worked on the family farm.

On August 11, 1979, Bradley was united in marriage to Brenda Swanson and the couple was blessed with four children: Brandon, Brock, Brooke, and Brodrick. They later divorced. A daughter, Jolissa Nelson was born to Bradley and Ginger Peterson. Bradley owned and operated Full Nelson Trucking out of Grand Island.

On August 27, 2016, Bradley was united in marriage to Cynthia Sayer at Cottonmill Park in Kearney. Two families were blended to one, adding Ryan and wife, Kaye Lanie Colling and Jordan and husband, Adam Quintana as his children and Gunnar Colling as a grandson.

Bradley enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren, hanging out in his backyard pool, golfing with his friends and watching football, especially Dallas Cowboys and Husker Football. He especially enjoyed spending time with the love of his life, Cindy.

Bradley was preceded in death by his son, Brock Nelson; parents: Dale and Arlene; grandparents: Hugo and Sarah Abramson and Frank and Ruth Nelson; uncles: Wayne Abramson, Wayne Nelson and Dale Abramson; aunt, LaVeda Muthart and her husband, Richard; father-in-law, Richard Sayer; and cousins: Donn Nelson and Karen Nelson.

He leaves to celebrate his life; his wife, Cindy of Grand Island; his children: Brandon Nelson and his wife, Nicole of Grand Island, Brooke Encinger and her husband, Jeremy of Grand Island, Brodrick Nelson of Grand Island and Jolissa Nelson of Kearney, Nebraska; step-children: Jordan Quintana and her husband, Adam of Kearney and Ryan Colling and his wife, Kaye Lanie of Waverly, Iowa; four grandchildren: Jordan, Jazlyn, Kynlee and Gunnar; two sisters: Brenda (Nelson) Beinhoff and her husband, Randy of Kearney and Becki Nelson-Trogden and her husband, James of Olympia, Washington; brothers: Alan Anderson of Lincoln, Nebraska and Dan Eustler and his wife, Pam of Sumner, Nebraska; mother-in-law, Joy Sayer; three aunts: Naomi Nelson, Lorraine Abramson and Carol Abramson; along with many extended family and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with the family greeting from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege.

A memorial has been established in Bradley's honor and will be designated at a later date.
