Memorial Services for Brandon J. Swearingen will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021, at 2:30 p.m. at the North Park Assembly of God Church in Holdrege, Nebraska with Pastor Brian Steinbach officiating.

Due to health concerns, regarding the COVID-19 pandemic; current CDC and Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services guidelines for Faith-Based Services and Gatherings will be followed.  The Swearingen family sincerely encourages each person to make their decision whether to attend Brandon's services, based on the best interest of your health, and that of your community.  Brandon's Memorial service will be live-streamed on the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home Facebook page. Brandon James Swearingen, 32 years of age, of Holdrege, died unexpectedly on Monday, February 1, 2021, at the Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege.  Brandon was born on September 7, 1988, in Holdrege, the fifth of six children, born to Randy J. and Trixie L. (Hewett) Swearingen. Brandon received his education from Holdrege, graduating from Holdrege High School with the class of 2007.

Following his education, he began working at Waller Feedlot with the farm crew; and most recently, Allmand Brothers, within various departments.

Brandon enjoyed poker runs and other fundraisers with the Eagle Riders; Wednesday night bowling league; trips to State Bowling; and hunting with his family and friends.   He was a member of the Eagles Club Aerie 3132 of Holdrege; the Holdrege Eagle Riders; and also enjoyed watching old John Wayne shows.

He will be remembered for his comradery with family and friends; and his kind and generous nature.  He was a teddy bear.

Brandon was preceded in death by; his paternal grandparents: Bernard and Eunice Swearingen; and his maternal grandfather, Gene Hewett; maternal grandmother:  Belvia "Bell" Watson and her husband, Areligh Watson; uncle, Jerry Swearingen at nine years of age; two aunts, Clara "Teresa" Swearingen; and Becky Swearingen; and one brother, Jesse Swearingen.

Brandon is survived by; his parents:  Randy and Trixie Swearingen of rural Holdrege; his siblings:  Paul Swearingen and Crystal of Holdrege; Tori Johnston and her husband, Rob of Holdrege; Travis Schriner of Holdrege; and Amber Reha and her husband, Jon of Ragan, Nebraska; one aunt, Teresa Weggans of Minden, Nebraska; and five uncles: Michael Watson and his wife, Cheri of Coushatta, Louisiana; Dennis Swearingen and his wife, Pat of Holdrege;  Terry Swearingen of Kearney, Nebraska; Michael Swearingen of Holdrege; and Timothy Swearingen and his wife, Robin of Columbus, Nebraska; along with  nieces, nephews, other extended family, and friends.

Memorial Book Signing will be held on Friday, February 5, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege.  Face coverings will be required to enter.

A memorial has been established in Brandon's honor, and kindly suggested to the Eagle Riders of Holdrege.
