Celebration of Life Service for Brent J. Popple will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Axtell, Nebraska with Reverend Gale Dorn and Reverend Daren Popple, officiating.  A private family inurnment will be held at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Axtell, prior to the services.

Brent John Popple, 66 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at his home in Holdrege.  Brent was born September 9, 1952 at Minden, Nebraska, the tenth of twelve children, and one of twin boys born to William L. and Etta M. (Soderquist) Popple.  Brent received his education from Axtell Public Schools, and graduated from Axtell High School with the class of 1971.

Following his education, he began a long career in concrete construction with his twin brother, Brian at Popple Construction Company, serving South Central Nebraska.

On August 19, 1991, he was united in marriage to Cheryl Bennett at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Axtell, and to this union one son, Trevor was born.  The family made their home in Axtell.

Brent enjoyed fishing, and in his younger years enjoyed camping with his family.  Those who knew Brent well will remember him as a storyteller.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers:  Mike, Brad, Max, and Brian Popple; sister, Colleen Warnken and her husband, Herb; and brother-in-law, Carl "Bud" Soneson.

Brent is survived by; his son, Trevor Popple and his wife, MaShayla of Axtell; two brothers:  Frank Popple and his wife, Margo of Gothenburg, Nebraska; and Ed Popple and his special friend, Carol of Orleans, Nebraska; four sisters:  Peggy Soneson of St. Paul, Nebraska; Sue Roads and her husband, Don of Axtell; Sandy Johnson and her husband, Jerry of Minden, Nebraska; and Vicki Erickson of Austin, Texas; three sisters-in-law:  Maureen Popple of Holdrege; Johanna Popple of Alma and Lois Popple of Kearney, Nebraska; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

There will be no visitation, the family is honoring Brent's wish for cremation.

A memorial has been established in his Brent's honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
