Brian E. Herzog

Celebration of Life Service for Brian E. Herzog will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege, Nebraska with Pastor Daren Popple officiating.  Inurnment will be held at a later date at the Dallas-Fort-Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas.

Brian Edwin Herzog, 69 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege. Brian was born March 13, 1949, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Herbert H. and Ida B. (Golub) Herzog. He received his primary education around the world while stationed with his Air Force family.

In 1968, Brian enlisted in the United States Navy, serving his country until he was honorably discharged as an S5 in 1972. He became interested in echocardiography, and attended school to be trained in vascular and cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography). Brian took a position at Phelps Memorial Health Center, making his home in Holdrege.

Brian was interested in everything concerning the world around him. He was knowledgeable about so many subjects, and loved talking to people about things that interested him. He made friends easily, and was always willing to help people in need.

Brian was preceded in death by his parents; Herbert H. and Ida B. (Golub) Herzog.

He leaves to celebrate his life; his special friends, Glenda and Michael Blucher, of Plano, Texas; and a host of other relatives and friends.

There will be no visitation, or memorial book signing.  The family has honored Brian's wish for cremation.

A memorial has been established in Brian's honor and will be designated at a later date.
