The Memorial Service for Burndetta J. Johnson has been postponed by the Colonial Villa in Alma, Nebraska, as they are currently not allowing visitors from the general public.  It will be rescheduled at a later time.

Memorial Service for Burndetta J. Johnson will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Good Samaritan Society Colonial Villa in Alma, Nebraska with Pastor Paul Ferrarone officiating.  Private inurnment will be held in the Orleans Cemetery at Orleans, Nebraska.

Burndetta June "Burnie" Johnson, 84 years of age, of Alma, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2020, at the Good Samaritan Society Colonial Villa in Alma.  Burndetta was born July 3, 1935, in Hebron, Nebraska, one of six children, to Elmer and Viola (Munson) Mattox.  As a young girl, Burnie moved from Hebron to Nampa, Idaho.  She received her elementary and high school education in Nampa, and later moved to Portland, Oregon.

On June 13, 1953, she was united in marriage to Richard A. Tiser and to this union three sons were born:  a son in infancy, Rick, and Terry.  The family made their home in Portland, where Burnie focused on raising her family.  In September 1969, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard.  In 1973, Burnie and her sons, moved to Orleans, Nebraska.  In 1975, she was preceded in death by her son, Rick at the age of 20.

On October 4, 1996, she was united in marriage to Jack L. Johnson in Oregon City, Oregon.  In 2004, she was preceded in death by her son, Terry.  In 2007, the couple began to make their home in Alma.  On June 12, 2012, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack.

Burnie was preceded in death by; her parents; two sons:  Rick Tiser and Terry Tiser; two husbands: Richard A. Tiser and Jack L. Johnson; and her siblings and their spouses.

She leaves to celebrate her life; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

There will be no visitation or viewing.  Her wish was to be cremated.

A memorial has been established in Burndetta's honor, and will be designated at a later date.
