A Graveside Service for Byron Rademaker will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Prairie Home Cemetery, Holdrege, Nebraska with Mr. Scott Ford, officiating.

Byron Lee Rademaker, 72 years of age, of rural Bertrand, Nebraska, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025, at his home in rural Bertrand. Byron was born on September 15, 1952, at Brewster Hospital in Holdrege, the second of four children born to Ervin and Georgina (Mohr) Rademaker. He was raised on the family farm west of Atlanta, Nebraska, and attended Loomis Public Schools and then attended and graduated from Loomis High School with the class of 1971.  He pursued higher education from Hastings Community College and earned a Mechanic degree.

Byron worked alongside his father and older brother, Jerry, on the family farm.  Together they enjoyed raising corn, beans, wheat, and cattle.  He enjoyed spending time with family, especially his niece and nephews.  In his younger years, Byron enjoyed 4-H, and Pole Bending.  The others would say, "Oh, Byron is here, we might as well go home."  He also enjoyed restoring tractors.

He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church.

Byron was preceded in death by his parents; and many aunts and uncles.

He leaves to celebrate his life, his siblings:  Gerald Rademaker of Holdrege; Doyle Rademaker and his wife, Pam of Holdrege; and Jeanne Smith and her husband, John of Graham, Washington; niece and nephews:  Tara Smith; Blake Rademaker; Tanner Smith; and Brock Rademaker and his wife, Becca; great-nephew, Ridge Rademaker; an aunt, Delores Rademaker of Holdrege;  along with extended family members.

A private visitation will be held at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege.

Memorials in Byron's honor are kindly suggested to the family for future designation.
