A memorial book signing for Carol J. Kauk, will be held on Monday, December 13, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Bauer-Torrey & Mach Funeral Home in Alma.

Private Memorial Services and Inurnment for Carol J. Kauk will be held at the Alma Cemetery.

Carol Jeanne Kauk, 86 years of age, of Alma, passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at the Good Samaritan Society Colonial Villa in Alma.  Carol was born on December 24, 1934, in Harlan County, Nebraska, northeast of Huntley, Nebraska, the youngest of six children, born to Otto and Dolly (Barber) Dickau.  Carol received her education and graduated from Huntley Public Schools.

Carol was united in marriage to Richard Kauk and the couple was blessed with two children:  Beverly and Jeff.  She enjoyed her life on the farm; especially being outdoors, mowing, and gardening.  She also enjoyed making sweatshirts, and crafting; and spending time her family.

Carol was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Alma, the Red Hat Society, and was active with the Alma community, volunteering at the Alma Caring Cupboard and other community organizations.  Carol enjoyed weekly outings with the "Lunch Bunch" and Sunday afternoons at the Parrot Theater.  She loved Elvis and enjoyed traveling to see different Elvis impersonator concerts.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard in 1996; three brothers:  Keith, Kenneth, and Glen Dickau, and their wives; two sisters:  Marion Artz; and Martha Nealy; and their husbands; and one grandson, Terry Norgon.

Carol leaves to celebrate her life her two children:  Beverly Steele and her husband, Gaylan of Alma; and Jeff Kauk and his wife, Peggy of rural Alma; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law; along with many nieces and nephews, extended family members, and special friends.

A memorial has been established in Carol's honor and kindly suggested to the Alma Senior Center or the Alma Fire Department.
