A Celebration of Life Gathering for Charles M. "Chuck" McDorman will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Fraternal Order of Eagles club in Holdrege, Nebraska.
Charles Michael "Chuck" McDorman, 80 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away, on April 27, 2026 at Holdrege Memorial Homes in Holdrege. Chuck was born in Dayton, Ohio on September 12, 1945, to Harold and Audrey (Lieber) McDorman. He received his education from Arizona Ranch Catholic School in Tucson, Arizona and graduated with the class of 1962.
Following his education, Chuck worked as a traveling Iron Worker in many states.
On July 10, 1965, he was united in marriage to Helen Overholser and to this union they were blessed with two children: Michael and Tina.
On August 7, 1986, Chuck was then married to Vivian Lonn. They were blessed with two sons: Bryon and Matthew.
Chuck enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting guns and cars. He was a member of the Eagles in Holdrege and the NRA.
Chuck will be remembered for his love of FOX News and he was a "history buff".
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Helen McDorman; and his second wife, Vivian McDorman.
He is survived by his children: Michael (Julie) McDorman of New Haven, Indiana; Tina McDorman (Sarah Garman) of Fort Wayne, Indiana; Bryon (Erin) McDorman of Funk, Nebraska; and Matt (Diana) McDorman of Holdrege; four grandchildren: Mackenzie Butler (Dalton); Ren Gardner (Kenzie Sanders); Halston and Myles McDorman; and one granddaughter due any day; along with other relatives, and friends.
A memorial has been established in Chuck's honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
