Celebration of Life Services for Charlotte E. Reeser will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at the Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Holdrege, Nebraska with Pastor Murray Jones and Chaplain DeWane Dow officiating. Interment will be held following the services in the Prairie Home Cemetery in Holdrege.

Charlotte Esther Reeser, 97 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege. Charlotte was born February 4, 1925, in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, the sixth of ten children born to John and Edna (Ford) Regener. She received her primary education from schools in Coatesville and Modena, Pennsylvania. She attended and graduated from Scott High School, in Coatesville, graduating with the class of 1943.
On July 21, 1945, she was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Raymond F. Reeser at Coatesville, and to this union, the couple was blessed with three children: Charles, Janet and Thomas. The family made their home in Christiana, Pennsylvania, where Charlotte focused on raising the children. Ray was employed by New Holland as an engineer in several locations with the company including: New Holland, PA, Grand Island, Nebraska, Melbourne, Australia, and Fresno, California, retiring in 1985. In 1997, Ray and Charlotte relocated to Holdrege to be near family. In 2018, she was preceded in death by Ray.
Charlotte was a talented seamstress and enjoyed reading. But most of all, she loved to attend all of her grandchildren's activities, and in later years, enjoyed spending time with her great-grandchildren.
She was a faithful member of the Trinity Evangelical Free Church, serving in many capacities through the years. As a devoted Christian, her faith and family were always in the forefront of her life. Ray and Charlotte served many short-term mission trips overseas that included: Mongolia, Belgium, and China. While in Pennsylvania, Ray and Charlotte also assisted with several church planting activities, which helped establish new congregations within the EFCA.
Besides her husband and parents; she was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harvey and Ada (Wanner) Reeser; five brothers: Arthur (Helen) Regener; J. Clement (Elizabeth) Regener; John (Betty) Regener, Jr.; Donald (Josephine) Regener; and Kenneth Regener; three sisters: Millicent (James) Alexander; Beatrice (Vincent) Eby; and Eleanor (Charles) Sharp; four brothers-in-law: Harold Reeser; Kurtz (Dorothy) Reeser; Harvey (Verna) Reeser; and Charles Reeser; one sister-in-law, Sarah (Clarence) Lindecamp.
Charlotte leaves to celebrate her life; two sons: Charles Reeser and his wife, Patricia of Holdrege; and Thomas Reeser and his wife, Sheila, of Lincoln, Nebraska; one daughter, Jan Reeser and her partner, Muriel Dimock of Red Wing, Minnesota; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; brother, Mervin Regener and his wife, Nancy of York, Pennsylvania; two sisters-in-law: Kathy Regener of Coatesville; and Shirley Reeser of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; special family, Mr. and Mrs. Eric Walker and family of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 23, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with the family greeting from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege.
A memorial has been established in Charlotte's honor, and kindly suggested to the Evangelical Free Church of America to support missions or Gideon's International.
