C.L. Hatch

C.L. Hatch, 65 years of age, of Holdrege, Nebraska, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2015 at the Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege.  Hatch, as he was known by his friends, was born on November 24, 1950 in Grant, Nebraska, the second of five children born to Dean and Dorothy (Mutchie) Hatch.  He received his education from Grant, Nebraska.

Following his education, Hatch was inducted into the United States Navy, and served his country stationed in Hawaii until his honorable discharge on June 29, 1971.

On June 19, 1970, he was united in marriage to Peggi Wilson in Grant.  To this union two sons were born:  Daren and Dager.  The family made their home in Elwood, Nebraska, where Hatch was employed by Burlington Northern Railroad until he suffered a back injury in 1983.  In 1993, Hatch and Peggi moved to Holdrege, where he was employed for several years by Gas-N-Shop prior to his retirement.

Hatch was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing with his two sons.  He was a life member of the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy.

He leaves to celebrate his life; his wife of 45 years, Peggi Hatch of Holdrege; two sons:  Daren Hatch and his wife, Kate of Elwood and Dager Hatch and his wife, Theresa of Atoka, Tennessee; three grandsons:  Ryan, Kaiden, and Daegan Hatch of Atoka; his father, Dean Hatch of Grant; two brothers:  Lynn Hatch and his wife, Rhonda of Lincoln, Nebraska and Larry Hatch and his wife, Leita of North Platte, Nebraska; two sisters:  Loneta May and her husband, Bill of North Platte and Lisa Engel and her husband, Dave of Grant; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Jack and Ina Mae Wilson of Imperial, Nebraska; two brothers-in-law: Mike Wilson and his wife, Barb of Des Moines, Iowa and Kevin Wilson and his wife, Julie of Alliance, Nebraska; many extended family members including:  aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.

The family is honoring Hatch's wish for cremation.  A time of fellowship to celebrate the life of Hatch will be held in the summer of 2016 and dates and time will be announced at a later date.

A memorial has been established in Hatch's honor and will be designated at a later date.
