A Memorial Service for Claude E. Taylor will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Taylor Ag. Service at 815 West Hwy. 6, Holdrege, Nebraska 68949. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
Claude Eugene Taylor, 63 years of age, of Atlanta, Nebraska, passed away, on May 19, 2022, in rural Harlan County, Nebraska. Claude was born in Aberdeen, South Dakota on March 23, 1959, the second of four children, born to Floyd and Mary (Keepseagle) Taylor. He received his education and graduated from Pierre Public School, in Pierre, South Dakota with the class of 1977. He pursued higher education at South Dakota State University, where he was on the Rodeo Team.
Following his education, Claude pursued a career in Agronomy.
On October 15, 1995, Claude was united in marriage to Sherry Main in Platoro, Colorado. The couple made their home in Atlanta, Nebraska where Claude continued his career in Agronomy and started his own business, Taylor Ag. Service in Holdrege, where he also sold Golden Harvest seed.
Claude has always enjoyed team roping, and was a huge advocate for the Mid-Plains Community College Rodeo Team. He loved to entertain friends, farmers, and customers at his Seed Building.
Claude was preceded in death by, his parents; and one sister, Jeanne Bullard.
Claude is survived by his wife, Sherry Taylor and their dogs, Tucker and Synch of Atlanta; one daughter, Jessica Evans and her husband, Luke of Bertrand, Nebraska; three grandchildren: Brooklyn, Katelyn, and Brayden Evans; one brother, Eugene Taylor and his wife, Carol of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; one sister, Kelly Gullickson and her husband, Gary of Sioux Falls; and one brother-in-law, Bill Bullard; along with a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A memorial book signing will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege.
A memorial has been established in Claude's honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
