Celebration of Life Services for Clinton D. "Clint" Fox will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Holdrege, Nebraska with Pastors Paul Bauman and Murray Jones officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Prairie Home Cemetery at Holdrege.
Clinton Dale "Clint" Fox, 59 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at his home in Holdrege after a courageous fight with cancer. He was born on August 12, 1960 in Omaha, Nebraska, the second of three children born to James and Lois (Barta) Fox. Later, Lois married Max Popple, whom Clint claimed as his dad. The family made their home in Axtell, Nebraska where Clint attended school, graduating with the Axtell High School class of 1979.
On August 11, 1992, he was united in marriage to Della (Ruppert) Waltemath, and the couple made their home in Holdrege. Clint considered Della's children as his own.
Clint was employed at Holdrege Irrigation for 14 years where he was the parts manager. He ordered parts for all the locations and was able to rattle off parts numbers even when called from home.
He enjoyed the outdoors including camping, fishing, and riding his motorcycle; along with playing pool, bowling, square dancing and most of all, spending time with his grandkids. Clint also touched the lives of many of Della's daycare kids.
He was preceded in death by: his father, James Fox; his step-father, Max Popple; sister, Marion Fox in infancy; and his grandparents.
Clint is survived by his wife of 27 years, Della Fox of Holdrege; four step-children: Kent Waltemath and his wife, Stephanie of Holdrege, Troy Waltemath and his wife, Julie of Augusta, Kansas, Heather Frew of Norton, Kansas, Brandy Edgren and her husband, Steve of Holdrege; his mother, Lois Popple of Kearney, Nebraska; one brother, Clayton Fox and his wife, Julie of Axtell; four step-brothers: Steve Popple and his fiancé Erin of Lincoln, Nebraska, Tony Popple and his husband, Chuck of Omaha, Nebraska, Bill Popple and his wife, Angie of Springfield, South Dakota, Sam Popple and his friend, Marcy of Elkhorn, Nebraska; one step-sister, Michelle Popple and her partner, Jacquelyn of Canyon Lake, California; 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Book Signing will be held on Friday, December 6, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the family greeting from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege.
A memorial has been established in Clint's honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
