A memorial service for Cory G. Tegtman will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Stamford, Nebraska, with Rev. Thalia Woodworth officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Stamford Cemetery in Stamford.
Cory Gene Tegtman, 55 years of age, of Stamford, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney, Nebraska. Cory was born in Alma, Nebraska on December 30, 1970, the third of five children, born to Don and Kathy (Sawyer) Tegtman. He started attending Stamford Public School and later attended Alma Public School and graduated from Alma High School with the class of 1989.
All through high school, Cory worked for Dietz's harvest crew. Following his education, Cory started farming and worked as a hired man and farm manager in the Stamford area. He helped his father run their family feedlot and continued the tradition after his father passed in 2017.
Cory was united in marriage to Danielle Oliver and to this union two children were born: Brock and Saige. The couple made their home near Stamford, and the marriage later ended in divorce.
Cory loved spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting and traveling.
Cory was a member of the Furnas County Ag Society, the Furnas County Cattlemen's Association, the Stamford Fire Board, and Trinity Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cory is survived by his children: Brock Tegtman (Teagan White) of Stamford, Nebraska; Saige Tegtman of Stamford; grandchildren: Grady, Barrett, and Fenton Tegtman; brother and sisters: Brad Tegtman of Texas; Wendy Tegtman of Pittsburg, Kansas; Sheila Pabst of California; and Karen Kramer of Oxford; six nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A memorial book signing will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Stamford.
A memorial has been established in Cory's honor and has kindly been suggested to the family for later designation.
