Celebration of Life Gathering for Craig E. Frink will be held on Sunday, April 25, 2021 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Eagles Club in Holdrege, Nebraska. A private family inurnment will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at the Prairie Home Cemetery in Holdrege with Pastor Kenton Birtell officiating.
Craig Edward Frink, 54 years of age, of Holdrege, Nebraska, died on Sunday, March 21, 2021, at his home, following a long battle with COPD. Craig was born on February 2, 1967, at Holdrege, the second of three children to Cynthia (Niles) Frink and Paul Frink. As an infant he was baptized at the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Holdrege. While Craig was in school, he was active in Boy Scouts and t-ball. Craig received his primary education in Holdrege, and later he attended and graduated from the Alliance High School in Alliance, Nebraska, with the class of 1985. He pursued higher education and received his Associates Degree in Auto Body and Auto Mechanics in 1987. During his studies he restored and painted a 1950 Ford pickup.
Craig returned to Holdrege and worked various jobs in construction and auto repair at different locations in town. He was employed by General Glass and Tri City Auto Parts. When his health began to fail, he took a position at Holdrege Market Place. Craig liked working with his hands, he was a jack of all trades and was always helping family and friends.
He will be remembered by his family for his: infectious laugh, big heart, and good-natured teasing.
Craig enjoyed: fishing, Husker and Denver Broncos football, cars, painting and listening to music. He also enjoyed playing a competitive game of pool. But above all he loved spending time with his family.
Craig was preceded in death by: his grandparents Marion Niles and Pearl Niles Maruhn; one uncle, Randy Maruhn; and one sister, Teresa Lynn Frink.
Craig leaves to celebrate his life: his mother, Cynthia Frink of Holdrege; his significant other, Cindy Skiles of Holdrege; their daughter, Cheyenne Frink and her significant other, Joshua Johnston of Holdrege; his eldest son, Casey Elliott of Deadwood, South Dakota; and youngest son, Jessie Linden and his wife, Catlyn of Holdrege; his extended family; Amanda Skiles and her significant other, Brian Jensen of Holdrege; Aaron Skiles of Holdrege; Kyle Skiles of Holdrege; Sevi Skiles and her significant other, Larry Fitzgerald of Bertrand; grandchildren: Ezibella, Hope, Jason, Tycen, Noveyleigh of Holdrege; Emily and Destiny of Holdrege; Rylan and Zayden of Holdrege; Sayleigh Gruhn, and Lathen Fitzgerald; Garrett Hamilton, Sean Skiles and Haley Skiles; Micheal and Dakota Fitzgerald; his sister, Angie Ekberg of Holdrege; nephew and niece: Blake and Alexis Ekberg of Holdrege; along with aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Cindy has always been a big part of Craig's life and especially in the past few years while his health was failing. She was always there to help care for Craig and the family and friends greatly appreciated your love and support for him.
A memorial has been established in Craig's honor and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
