Curtis Nicholson

A Memorial Service for Curtis Nicholson will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege, Nebraska, with Reverend Kenton Birtell officiating.

Curtis Wayne Nicholson, 64 years of age, of Holdrege, formerly of Axtell, Nebraska, and Minden, Nebraska, passed away, on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege. Curtis was born on September 13, 1960, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, the second of three sons, born to Ivan and Dorothy (Swinger) Nicholson. He attended vocational services from MOSAIC in Holdrege.

Curtis was a member of the MOSAIC family in Holdrege and loved Pepsi, listening to music, and looking through magazines.

Curtis was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, David Nicholson.

He is survived by his brother:  Michael Nicholson and wife, Lisa of Manhattan, Kansas; special friend and caretaker, Katrina Lopez of Holdrege; along with other relatives, and friends.

A memorial has been established in Curtis' honor, and kindly suggested to the Don Sjogren YMCA of Holdrege.
