Graveside Services for Dale D. Coe will be conducted from the Ft. McPherson National Cemetery at Maxwell, Nebraska on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Ft. McPherson National Cemetery at Maxwell.
Dale Dean Coe, 78 years of age, of Loomis, Nebraska, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2007 at the Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege. Dale was born May 12, 1928 in Harlan County, northeast of Orleans, Nebraska, the youngest of five children of Fred R. and Elise (Garrison) Coe. He received his education at District #7 in Harlan County. Following his education he served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War from January 18, 1951 until his honorable discharge on January 14, 1953. Dale then served in the Army Reserves for five years.
On September 4, 1953 he was united in marriage to Kathleen Kegley and to this union two daughters were born: Connie Renee and Linda Rochelle. The family made their home in Omaha, Nebraska, where Dale was employed as a boilermaker traveling between Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa and the western half of Missouri concentrating on the construction of Power Plants. Dale retired in 1994 at Syracuse, Nebraska and later relocated to Loomis.
Dale enjoyed woodworking and coin collecting. He was a member of the Kansas-Nebraska Association of Seventh Day Adventists in Lincoln, Nebraska and a member of the Boilermakers Local Union #83 in Kansas City, Missouri.
He leaves to mourn his passing his two daughters: Connie Boug of Omaha, Nebraska and Linda Walker and her husband, Gary of Phoenix, Arizona; one grandson, Andrew Cole Boug and one sister, Fern Renz of Holdrege. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: Lloyd, Delton and Lyle Coe.
Mr. Coe will lie in state at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 from 1:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
