Private Family Funeral Services for Dale L. Vose will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at the Alma United Methodist Church in Alma, Nebraska, with Pastor Seong Lee officiating. Interment will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Stockton Cemetery at Stockton, Kansas.
Darrell Rubottom of the Paradise Lodge #290 of Plainville, Kansas will be leading Masonic rites at the cemetery.
Due to health concerns, regarding the COVID-19 pandemic; current CDC and Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services guidelines for Faith-Based Services and Gatherings will be followed. The Vose family sincerely encourages each person to make their decision whether to attend the visitation, based on the best interest of your health, and that of your community.

Dale Lee Vose, 86 years of age, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021, at his home in Alma. Dale was born on February 22, 1934, on the family farm in Rooks County, Kansas, the only son, born to Paul P. and Ruth "Vernnie" (Gaines) Vose. He attended a country school near Logan, Kansas, and later attended and graduated from Logan High School, with the class of 1951. Dale then continued farming with his family.
On September 6, 1953, Dale was united in marriage to Donna Jean Elliott at the Phillipsburg United Methodist Church. The couple made their home on the family farm in Logan, where Dale continued farming until 1955, when he became employed by Jillie & Cannon Court Company, in Dodge City, Kansas. He helped build R.E.A. and R.T.A. service to rural communities in Kansas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Texas and New Mexico. God blessed this union with two children: a son, Patrick, and a daughter, Lori.
In 1964, Dale went to work for the Western Light and Telephone Company in Phillipsburg. He worked in this office until 1971, then he was relocated to Great Bend, Kansas, and worked as the Director of Safety and Training of the Kansas properties and later the Colorado properties. He retired on April 1, 1994. On February 25, 1998, his wife passed away, following a short illness.
Dale continued to live in Great Bend, Kansas, until he was united in marriage to Shirley Rae (Pearson) Dietz. The couple was wed at the Alma Evangelical Free Church and began to make their home in Republican City, Nebraska, and they later moved to Alma. On June 26, 2009, Shirley preceded Dale in death, following a brief battle with cancer.
Dale and his neighbor, Connie Wolfe have enjoyed companionship, music, and traveling. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, traveling, and spending time in the R.V.
Dale was raised in the Methodist Faith and was a member of the Alma First United Methodist Church; was a past Master of the Masonic Lodge #184 in Phillipsburg; belonged to the Sunflower Shriners Club in Great Bend; was a York Rite Shriner, belonging to the Isis Shriners Club in Salina, Kansas; and was a member of the Phillipsburg Eastern Star #168.
Dale was preceded in death by: his parents; two wives: Donna Jean, and Shirley; and a great-grandson, Rylan Vose.
Dale is survived by: his children Patrick L. Vose and his wife, Michelle of Liberal, Kansas; and Lori A. Mitchell and her husband, Ken of Great Bend, Kansas; his significant other, Connie Wolfe of Alma; four grandchildren: Aaron Mitchell and his wife, Maci of McPherson, Kansas; Stacia Nokes and her husband, Colby of King George, Virginia; Abby Kramer and her husband, Timothy of Topeka, Kansas; and Derek Vose of Liberal, Kansas; six great-grandchildren: Kennedy, Taylor, and McKinley Nokes; and Braxton, Devin, and Payton Vose; two step-grandsons: Nathaniel Alexander of Fargo, North Dakota; and Steven Alexander and his wife, Rizza of Fort Worth, Texas; one step-great-grandson, Anthony Ray; along with extended family, and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the Alma United Methodist Church in Alma.
A memorial has been established in Dale's honor and kindly suggested to: the Alma First United Methodist Church; or the Isis Shriners in Salina.
