Danny D Raburn

A Celebration of Life Gathering and Open House for Danny Raburn will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege, Nebraska. A private inurnment will be held at the Cambridge Cemetery in Cambridge, Nebraska.

Danny Duane Raburn, 64 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at his home in Holdrege. He was born October 18, 1961, the middle of three children, born to Harold D. and Marian A. (Burton) Raburn. He received his education from Holdrege High School, receiving his GED.  Danny later attended Central Community College in Hastings, Nebraska and Holdrege.

On August 25, 1979, was united in marriage to Crystal McConnell at the First United Methodist Church in Holdrege and they were blessed with two daughters: Amanda Rea and Geri Michelle. The family lived in Holdrege, where Danny was employed at the Phelps County Roads Department, The Connection, and Tri City Auto.

Danny enjoyed watching and attending drag car racing; a love for music, either, listening or DJing; spending time with his family; a yearn for History and more knowledge, that he and his sister enjoyed discussing; and socializing with others.  He had a great sense of humor, and he loved to laugh.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Crystal in 2011; his in-laws, Charles and Harriett (Koontz) McConnell; his sister, Terri Raburn; a brother-in-law, Rodney McConnell; and many aunts and uncles from the Raburn and Burton families.

He leaves to mourn his passing; his daughters: Amanda Olson and her husband, Joseph; and Geri Raburn and her fiancé, John Ingraham, all of Holdrege; his grandchildren: Alexis Olson and her fiancé, Alex Sandberg; Lane Olson; Sophie Olson; Trystin Raburn; Adriene Taylor and her husband, Chase; and Jaren Ingraham; his great-granddaughter, Scarlett; his sister, Geanene Schafer and her husband, Ron of Marquette, Nebraska; sister-in-law, Patricia Marshall of Maupin, Oregon; brothers-in-law: Bill McConnell and his wife, Jo of Lincoln, Nebraska; Russ McConnell and his wife, Suzy of Holdrege; and Ron McConnell and his wife, Becky of Alma, Nebraska; two great aunts: Goldene Burton; and Lorene Raburn, both of Cambridge; and many nieces:  Tiffany Eggleston, Brandie McConnell, and Stephanie Brunson; nephews:  Jonathan Schafer, Michael McConnell, Tyler McConnell, Alex McConnell, and Charles McConnell; along with other relatives, and friends.
