David Cornelius Ramsey, 56 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away, on November 29, 2021, at the Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege. David was born in Denver, Colorado on December 5, 1964, the fourth of seven children, born to Clyde and Anne (O'Donoghue) Ramsey. He received his primary education from Everett Junior High in Denver and later attended and graduated from Wheat Ridge High School, with the class of 1983.

Following his education, David enlisted into the United States Air Force on June 16, 1983. One of David's proudest moments was when he had the honor of guarding the Air Force One while President Reagan was in flight. David was honorably discharged on June 15, 1989. Throughout his life, David worked: security in Denver; at Monfort Meat Packing plant in Greeley, Colorado; at HP Computer Services; and as a school nurse; and most recently at RTD Eagle transportation.

On May 24, 1997, David was united in marriage to Tina Chamberlain at the Senior Center in Greeley. The couple made their home in Greeley until 2010 when the couple moved to Wheat Ridge and later to Holdrege.

David loved sports, especially the Denver Broncos; CU Buffs; and the Air Force Falcons. After the couple moved to Holdrege, David really started to enjoy gardening. He was an avid collector of guns and coins. David enjoyed playing cards and bowling. He was a member of the USBC Bowling Club and the National Rifle Association.

David was preceded in death by: his father; Clyde Ramsey Sr.; his sisters, Elizabeth Ramsey; and Caroline Carlson and her husband, Randy.

David is survived by his wife, Tina Ramsey of Holdrege; one son, Cory Devon Ramsey of Colorado; his mother, Anne Ramsey of Wheat Ridge; two brothers: Clyde Ramsey Jr. of Wheat Ridge; and Michael Ramsey and his wife, Lynn of Indiana; one sister: Mary Donley and her husband, Roger of North Glenn, Colorado; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

A memorial has been established in David's honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
