Dawn Darlene Glinsmann, 63 years of age, of Bertrand, passed away, on February 10, 2024, at her home. Dawn was born in Lexington, Nebraska on July 29, 1960, the fourth of six children, born to Darrel and Beverly (Horn) Stark. She received her education from Loomis Public Schools in Loomis, Nebraska, and later graduated from Loomis High School, with the class of 1979. Dawn pursued higher education at St. Josephs College of Beauty in Hastings, Nebraska, and received her Beautician Certificate.
On February 1, 1986, Dawn was united in marriage to Robert Glinsmann in Loup City, Nebraska. The couple made their home in Hastings before moving to Bertrand in 1992.
Dawn enjoyed baking, cooking, and tending to her garden and flowers. She would bring snacks to her grandkid's class and volunteer at a daycare in Bertrand and quickly became "Grandma Dawn" to many kids around town. But most of all she loved spending time with her family and attending her grandkid's sporting events and activities.
Dawn was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Glinsmann; her parents, Dee and Bev Stark; her grandparents; one sister, Darla Cohagen and her husband Ed; and her nephew, Tyler Ehlers.
Dawn is survived by her daughter: Dianah Steinbrink and her husband, Matt of Bertrand; three grandchildren: Macie, Marshall, and Maddox Steinbrink; one brother, Dan Stark and his wife, Lisa of Plainview, Nebraska; three sisters: Darrie Streeter and her husband, Rick of Holdrege; Della Ehlers and her husband, David of Smithfield; Dora Stark of Kearney; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Nelson Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege.
A memorial has been established in Dawn's honor and is kindly suggested to the family for a later designation.
