Dawnelle G. Pagan

A celebration of life gathering for Dawnelle G. Pagan will be held on April 14, 2023, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. with a time of sharing at 7:00 P.M. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege.

Dawnelle Goldine Pagan, 59 years of age, of Holdrege, Nebraska, passed away, on March 16, 2023, at the Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege. Dawnelle was born in Port Angeles, Washington on July 1, 1963. She received her education in Washington. Dawnelle pursued higher education and studied bookkeeping.

Following her education, she helped prepare taxes and worked as a waitress and hostess.

Dawnelle had two sons Shane and Brandon.

In 2016 Dawnelle moved to Minden, Nebraska, and soon after found the love of her life David Warnell. They lived in Minden for a few years before moving to Holdrege.

Dawnelle enjoyed Hot Rod car shows, the outdoors, and nature. She was artistic and would make earrings, dreamcatchers, and Native American beadwork. But most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren who range from 16 years old to 6 months old.

Dawnelle was preceded in death by her parents, Merton Mapes and Janyse Cooper.

Dawnelle is survived by her two sons: Shane Hayes of Kearney, Nebraska; and Brandon Hayes of New York; 17 grandchildren; her significant other, David Warnell of Holdrege; two brothers: Denny Cooper; Shawn Hunt; and three sisters: Tresa Floyd; Danette Thompson; Shannon Marek; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A memorial has been established in Dawnelle's honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
