Memorial Services for Deanna S. Marvin will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Holdrege, Nebraska with Reverend Kenton Birtell officiating.  Private family burial will be held at a later date.

Deanna Sue Marvin, 54 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Society – Colonial Villa in Alma, Nebraska.  Deanna was born August 25, 1962 in Great Bend, Kansas, the younger of two children to LeRoy D. and Norma Jean (Ochs) Bowman.  She received her primary education from Clay Center, Kansas Public Schools and later attended high school at LaCross, Kansas and Holdrege.

On January 22, 1988, Deanna was united in marriage to Merle A. Marvin.

Deanna lived life to the fullest.  She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.  She also enjoyed driving truck and meeting all the different people associated with the trucking industry.

She was a member of the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Holdrege.

Deanna was preceded in death by; her father, LeRoy Dean Bowman; step-brother, Steven Bowman; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

She leaves to celebrate her life; her husband, Merle Marvin of Holdrege; children: Walter Gene Bowman of Holdrege and Mandy Sue Bowman of Holdrege; seven grandchildren:  Austin, Tabby, Joshua, Kyra and Adaya Bowman, Megan Marie Bowman and Michael Bowman; mother, Norma Foos of Holdrege; brothers:  Dan Boxberger of Wytheville, Virginia and Kirk Bowman and his wife, Robyn of Arapahoe, Nebraska; niece, Brandi Bowman and her children:  Ty, Trestin, Samarha and Draven; nephew, Dusty Bowman and his wife, Alexis Nelson and their children:  Ryan and Jade; step-children:  Heather Whisnant, Shaun Marvin and Tyler Marvin; step-grandchildren:  Brianna, Raelin, Cody, Alexis, Madison and Dietrich; step-great-grandson: Zayl; step-brother, Gary Bowman; along with many extended family and many friends.

The family is honoring Deanna's wish for cremation.  There will be no Visitation or Memorial Book Signing.

A memorial has been established in Deanna's honor and kindly suggested to the American Cancer Society for Cancer Research or to the Department of Health and Human Services, c/o:  Every Woman Matters.
