Dennis Ray Damrow, 67 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021, in Holdrege.  He was born on February 5, 1953, in Holdrege, the third of four children, of Donald and June (Miller) Damrow.  He received his education from Holdrege Public Schools, graduating from Holdrege High School with the class of 1971.  He pursued higher education and became a licensed electrician.

On June 30, 1973, he was united in marriage to Sherry Karlson at the Bethel Lutheran Church in Holdrege.  This union was blessed with two children:  Lynse and Barton.  The family made their home in Holdrege, where Dennis engaged in farming and raising cattle.

Family was of utmost importance in Dennis' life. He valued his parents, siblings, wife, and most importantly his kids. Once he became Papa, his life revolved around his grandsons and their activities.  He will be remembered by his family for always being late and never being in a hurry. Dennis loved to share stories about the past.

Dennis was preceded in death by: the love of his life, Sherry; his son, Barton; his parents, Don and June Damrow; two brothers: Dick Damrow; and Marty Damrow; a nephew, Jason Wagner; and his father-in-law, and mother-in-law: Burton and Berdeen Karlson.

He leaves to celebrate his life; his daughter, Lynse Schmidt and her husband, Tim of rural Holdrege; three grandsons:  Austin, Cael, and Kaden Schmidt; one sister:  Linda Slothower and her husband, Gordon of Springdale, Arkansas; three sisters-in-law: Mary Jen Bear of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Jodi Damrow of Holdrege; and Brenda Wagner and her husband, Mark of Woodbury, Minnesota; one brother-in-law, Dudley Karlson and his wife, Linda of Holdrege; along with nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
