A Memorial Mass for Diane M Busse will be held on Saturday, November 16, at 11 am at St Joseph Catholic Church in Alma, NE, with Father Maurice Current as Celebrant. A private inurnment will be held in Minnesota at a later date.
Diane Marie (Streuber) Busse, 77, passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 27, 2024 in Alma, NE. Diane was born in Mankato, MN in April, 1947 to Leroy and Frances (Lex) Streuber, the second of five children. She was a big help to her mother helping with the younger kids.
She was educated in Catholic schools and graduated from Loyola Catholic High School in Mankato. She married Lorence Busse (deceased) in 1965 and they moved to Germany where son Christoper was born in 1966. After returning to the US, son Charles joined the family. They relocated to the Omaha area where they raised their kids.
Diane had the good fortune to meet Rockne and Mary Muir over 20 years ago. They have became her best friends and family here, giving loving support always. Diane enjoyed Rockne and Mary's children and grandchildren immensely. She has always loved kids and animals. She loved new puppy Buffy and lab Stormy. She enjoyed reading, watching movies and having a good laugh. She will be remembered as always being the sweetest person with a ready smile and laugh.
She is survived by sons Chris and Charles Busse, wonderful friends Rockne and Mary Muir, and their family, brother Larry Streuber in Portland, OR, sisters Debbie Lex and Jill Branwall of Minneapolis, MN. She was predeceased by her parents, her older brother Ronald Streuber, Larry Busse.
There will be no viewing or visitation the evening prior to her Memorial Mass. Diane's wishes for cremation have been honored.
Memorials in Diane's honor are suggested to the Humane Society or the American Cancer Society.
