Funeral Services for Diane M. Gange will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Holdrege, Nebraska with Reverend Nora Mendyk officiating. Following the services, interment will be held at the Prairie Home Cemetery in Holdrege.

Diane Marie Gange, 63 years of age, of Holdrege passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at the Christian Homes Care Community in Holdrege. Diane was born March 17, 1954 at Fairbury, Nebraska, the second of three children born to Duane and Dorothy (Linderman) Beachler. She received her primary education from Reynolds, Enders and Holdrege Public Schools and graduated from Holdrege High School with the class of 1972.

On March 26, 1975, she was united in marriage to Donald Gange at the First United Methodist Church in Holdrege and to this union two children were born: Derek and Donielle. The family made their home in Holdrege, where she worked as a receptionist at Strong Brothers Dealership. In the years to come, Diane worked as a receptionist and clerk at Hinky Dinky and Pamida. In most recent years, she was employed Sunmart, until a stroke in 2016, required her to retire and she began to make her home at Christian Homes.

Diane enjoyed the challenge of cross-word puzzles and word searches, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She was a devoted grandmother and always put her family's needs above her own. Diane was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Holdrege.

Diane was preceded in death by her husband, Donald in 2001; her father, Duane Beachler; grandson, Trae Gange-Wigget; brother, Gary Beachler; father and mother-in-law, Lawrence and Edith Gange; and brother-in-law, Myron Hammer.

She leaves to celebrate her life; her children: Derek Gange of Holdrege and Donielle Hopkins of Funk, Nebraska; four grandchildren: Tristyn Gange-Wigget, Taylor Hopkins, Alex Gange-Wigget and Ashlynn Gange-Hopkins; her mother, Dorothy Beachler of Holdrege; sister, Sandy Beachler of Funk; three sisters-in-law: Betty Adkins and her husband, Jerry of Springfield, Nebraska, Doris Schmidt and her husband, Paul of Aberdeen, South Dakota, and Ethel Hammer of Mellette, South Dakota; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with the family greeting friends from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege.

A memorial has been established in Diane's honor and will be designated at a later date.
