Celebration of Life Service for Domonick R. Linden will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Holdrege, Nebraska with Pastor Murray Jones and Chaplain DeWane Dow, officiating.
Domonick Ray Linden, 31 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away unexpectedly as the result of an accidental shooting on Monday, June 8, 2015 northwest of Funk, Nebraska. Domonick was born August 24, 1983 at Kearney, Nebraska, the eldest of two sons born to Daniel James and Debra Sue (Sheen) Linden. Domonick received his primary education between Washington and Lincoln Elementary Schools in Holdrege, and then continued at the R-6 School north of Holdrege. He then attended Holdrege High School, and later received his G.E.D. from Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska. In 2002 he was united in marriage to Dawn Driver and to this union one daughter, Mercy Love Linden was born. This marriage later ended in divorce.
For the last eleven years he was in a special relationship with his soul mate, Shawna Swanson and the couple had two children together: Gabriel Elijah Donald Linden and Summer Grace Linden. The family made their home in Holdrege.
Domonick's family and friends were always amazed by his ability to fix anything. He was always willing to help family and friends with whatever needed to be done! He was very dependable and was truly a "Jack of all Trades." In recent years he was employed by Abramson Appliance as an Appliance and Service Technician, where he took pride in using his skills and went the extra mile for his clients.
Music was always a big part of his life. His family was always very important to him, especially the well-being of his children.
Domonick was preceded in death by his grandparents: Donald Sheen, Morris Linden and Lela (Linden) Norman. He leaves to mourn his passing; his three children: Mercy, Gabriel, and Summer Linden; his parents: Deb Linden of Holdrege and Daniel Linden of Omaha, Nebraska; his soul mate, Shawna Swanson of Holdrege; his grandmother, Dixie Sheen of Holdrege; his brother, Jessie Linden of Holdrege; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 15, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with the family greeting from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege. Following the traditional visitation, cremation will take place and a private family inurnment will be held at a later date at the Prairie Home Cemetery in Holdrege.
A memorial has been established in Domonick's honor to support an education fund for his children.
