Don Lewton, born on June 23, 1940, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2024, in Alma, Nebraska.
Don was a man who cherished the great outdoors, spending countless hours hunting and fishing around the Harlan County Reservoir. His deep connection to nature brought joy and created cherished memories for those who joined him on his adventures.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Lewton; his devoted son, Stacey Lewton, and wife Kristi; and his beloved grandchildren, McKenna and Conner Lewton. Don's family was his greatest pride, and his legacy will live on through the many lives he touched.
Don's passion for life and the natural world was an inspiration to all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by family and friends.
A private remembrance will be held at a date yet to be determined.
Rest in peace, Don. Your love and laughter will forever echo in the outdoors you so dearly loved.
A memorial has been established in Don's honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
