Donna C Dietz

Funeral Services for Donna C. Dietz (Mrs. Lawrence Dietz) will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Stamford, Nebraska with Pastor Thalia Woodworth officiating.  Interment will follow at the Orleans Cemetery, at Orleans, Nebraska.

Donna Cristina Dietz, 85 years of age, of Alma, Nebraska, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2019, at the Good Samaritan Society Colonial Villa in Alma.  Donna was born August 28 1934, in Orleans, the eldest of two daughters born to Don and Cristina (Mullis) Moore.  She received her primary education from Orleans Public School and later graduated from Holdrege High School.

On February 12, 1953, Donna was united in marriage to Lawrence A. Dietz at the Peace Lutheran Church in Alma.  This union was blessed with two sons:  Sam and Dale.  They made their home in Alma, where they owned and operated a trucking and custom harvesting business.

Donna enjoyed horses, cooking and helping with harvest.  She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Stamford.

She was preceded in death by; her parents; and husband, Lawrence A. Dietz in 2006.

Those left to cherish her memory include; her two sons:  Sam Dietz of Alma; and Dale Dietz of Alma; three grandchildren:  Lance Dietz and his wife, Amanda of Orleans; Dallas Dietz of Orleans; and Sadie Dietz of Alma; one great-grandson, Houston Dietz; her sister, Georgia Lee Gower and her husband, Tom of Dixon, Illinois; along with other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 6, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Bauer-Torrey & Mach Funeral Home in Alma with the family greeting from 6:00 p.m. – 7: 30 p.m.

A memorial has been established in Donna's honor and kindly suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church in Stamford.
