Funeral Services for Dorothy E. Percival will be conducted from the St. John's Lutheran Church in Oxford, Nebraska on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Dale Hedstrom officiating. Interment will be in the Oxford Cemetery at Oxford.

Dorothy Elizabeth Percival, 83 years of age, of Oxford, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at the Holdrege Memorial Homes in Holdrege, Nebraska. Dorothy was born December 19, 1925 in Tabernash, Colorado, the second of four children of Frederick J. and Esther F. (Haze) Jauch. She received her education from the North High School in Denver, CO. Following her education she was employed by the Bell Telephone Company in Denver for many years until moving to Nebraska.

Dorothy was united in marriage to Earl Hiram Percival on February 2, 1963 in Englewood Colorado. To this union, the couple was blessed with three children: Richard M., Randy E. and Ann E. The family made their home northwest of Oxford, where Dorothy enjoyed helping on the farm and raising their children. Dorothy lived on the farm until moving to Holdrege Memorial Homes in August of 2007.

Dorothy was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and St. John's Lutheran Women. She was a member of the Happy Homes Club, the ABC Club, Birthday Club and the Wednesday morning Edison Coffee Club. She also served on the Walker Post Manor Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary in Oxford.

She leaves to mourn her passing; daughter, Ann Percival of Lincoln, Nebraska; sons, Richard Percival and his wife Lynda of Eagle, Idaho and Randy Percival and his wife Edna of Hollis, Oklahoma; brother-in-law, Lloyd Percival and his wife Janet of Oxford, Nebraska, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Richard C. Jauch; two sisters, Winifred Relihan and Irene L. Jauch.

Dorothy will lie in state at the Mitchell-Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Oxford on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 P.M. with the family greeting friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.

Memorials are suggested to the St. John's Lutheran Church of Oxford, Holdrege Memorial Homes or to the Oxford Volunteer Fire Department.
