A funeral service for Edlisia A. Seyler will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Alma, Nebraska with Pastor Seong Lee officiating. Interment will follow at the Alma Cemetery in Alma, Nebraska.

Edlisia Anntoinette "Lisa" (Svehla) Seyler, 56 years of age, of Alma, gained her wings, on Friday, November 4, 2022, at CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney, Nebraska. Lisa was born in San Diego, California on May 19, 1966, the eldest of two daughters, born to Edward and Sharon (Ekstrom) Svehla. Lisa received her education from Valentine Public Schools in Valentine, Nebraska.
She worked in various nursing homes as a CNA for many years.
In 1983, Lisa was united in marriage to Donald Duffield Jr. in South Dakota and to this union, four daughters were born: Donna, Natashia, Melissa, and Michelle. The marriage later ended in divorce.
On September 29, 1990, Lisa was united in marriage to Rodney Seyler at North Park in Holdrege, Nebraska. She gained a daughter, Macy, and the two families joined as one. The couple made their home in Holdrege and later moved to Alma. They enjoyed fishing, dancing, and bowling together.
Lisa enjoyed crocheting, diamond paintings, puzzles, and doing various crafts. She loved spending time with all her daughters, and grandchildren, she made sure to spoil them. Holidays were a big deal to Lisa, she went all out decorating and celebrating with everyone.
Lisa was preceded in wings by, her grandparents; her mom, Sharon Blain; one aunt, Rosie Svehla; mother and father-in-law: Leo and Valeta Seyler; two brothers-in-law: DuWayne Seyler; and Gary Seyler; and one sister-in-law, Kay Lynn Seyler.
Lisa is survived by her husband, of 32 years Rodney Seyler of Alma; children: Macy Oakley and her fiancé, Bruce Zwiener of Strasburg, Colorado; Donna Duffield and her significant other Anthony Johnson of Holdrege; Natashia Weak and her husband, Tracy of Orleans, Nebraska; Melissa George (Duffield) and her husband, Charles of West Olive, Michigan; Michelle Colson and her husband, Jake of Suwanee, Florida; 20 grandchildren; her dad, Edward Svehla; step-dad, George Blain; one sister, Sharon Aimes and her husband, Randy; step-siblings: Tom Blain; Matt Blain; and Jenny; two brothers-in-law: Marlin Seyler; and Dennis Seyler and his wife, Wanda; two sisters-in-law: Doris Brandon and her husband, Gary; Cheri Seyler; and one uncle, Tony Svehla; as well as a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Bauer-Torrey & Mach Funeral Home in Alma.
A memorial has been established in Edlisia's honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
