Effie L. Farnham
Effie L. Farnham, (widow of Hugh and daughter of William and Katherine Weniger), died June 2, 2007 in Crete, NE.
In 1937, she married Hugh Farnham of Holdrege. After 29 years in Holdrege, they moved to Grand Island, Nebraska. Upon retiring and moving to Hastings, they traveled extensively in the US and later returned to Holdrege.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Norman & Carol Farnham of Martell, NE; daughter & son-in-law, Linda & Stewart Lewis of Mesa, AZ; three grandchildren: Stephanie (Mark) Roll of Sierra Vista, AZ; Jack Farnham of Lincoln, NE, and Jeffrey (Lisa) Lewis of Dunn, NC. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, parents, eight brothers and sisters, and one great-grandchild, Sydney Roll.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
A memorial has been established in her memory.
