Mass of Christian Burial for Eleanora C. Storz will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the All Saints Catholic Church in Holdrege, Nebraska with Father Thomas Lux officiating. Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will be held at the Oxford Cemetery in Oxford, Nebraska at 2:00 p.m.

Eleanora Cathryn Storz, 94 years of age, of Holdrege, (formerly of Oxford) passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Holdrege. She was born on August 4, 1922 at Arapahoe, Nebraska, the youngest of seven children born to August Herman and Mary (Haley) Krumme. Eleanora received her education from Arapahoe Public Schools and graduated from Arapahoe High School with the class of 1940.

In March of 1941, she was united in marriage to Otto George Storz Jr. and to this union seven children were born: Sandra, Dennis, Thomas, Robert, Marsha, Douglas, and Gregory. When the children were young, Eleanora was a homemaker and devoted her time to taking care of the children. In 1964, she began to work in the dietary department at the Oxford Hospital and also took nursing classes. Throughout the years, Eleanora was employed as a nurse's aide in area nursing homes. In 1997 she was preceded in death by her husband, Otto. In 1998, she began to make her home in Holdrege at Sunrise View and due to her failing health in August of 2012 she moved to Holdrege Memorial Homes where she resided until her passing.

Eleanora was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Oxford for many years, where she was active in the Altar Society. After moving to Holdrege, she became a member of the All Saints Catholic Church. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary for many years. Eleanora enjoyed crafting ceramics and handiwork, especially embroidery. Other past-times included playing cards, bingo and enjoyed growing plants and flowers in her apartment. Most of all, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents; Eleanora was preceded in death by three brothers: Charles Krumme and his wife, Margaret, Ralph Krumme and his wife, Jeanette and Clifford Krumme and his wife, Susie; three sisters: Helen Johnson, Bernadine Vopat and her husband, Ralph and Eleanora's twin sister, Eleanor Buhler and her husband, Ben; and two grandchildren: Jason Stone at four years of age, and one granddaughter, Carol Storz in infancy.

She leaves to celebrate her life; her seven children: Sandra Beins and her husband, Roy of Chanute, Kansas, Dennis Storz and his wife, Patricia of Holdrege, Thomas Storz and his wife, Linda of Lincoln, Nebraska, Robert Storz and his wife, Peggy of Henderson, Nevada, Marsha Stone and her husband, Ivan of Axtell, Nebraska, Douglas Storz and his wife, Dawn of Parker, Colorado and Greg Storz of Rancho Mirage, California; 20 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 2, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege.

A memorial has been established in Eleanora's honor and kindly suggested to the All Saints Catholic Church in Holdrege.
