Eloise R. Franks

Memorial Services for Eloise (Bard) Franks will be conducted from the First United Methodist Church in Holdrege, Nebraska on Saturday, September 2, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. with Reverends Buck Linton-Hendrick and Wes Holen, officiating. Private Family Inurnment will be in the Prairie Home Cemetery at Holdrege prior to the memorial service.

Eloise Rae (Bard) Franks, 59 years of age, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2006 at the Swedish American Hospital at Rockford. Eloise was born October 28, 1946 at Eldorado, Kansas, the third of four children of Franklin and Rachael (Holen) Bard. She received her primary education at Wichita, Kansas, graduating from Wichita East High School. She later pursued a career in Accounting, receiving her degree in Accounting from Rockford College. Eloise was employed by Sunstrand-Hamilton in Rockford for many years.

She was well read, kindhearted and a creative artist. She had an uncommon appreciation for the beauty to be found in simple every day life.

She leaves to mourn her passing her mother, Rachael Bard of Holdrege; son, Chris Franks and his wife, Becky of Sunprairie, Wisconsin; daughter, Jamie Franks of Santa Fe, New Mexico; three cherished grandchildren: Garrett, Dean and Paul of Sunprairie; sister, Margy Hilsabeck of Holdrege; and a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father and two brothers in infancy.

A memorial has been established in her memory.

The Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege is in charge of the arrangements.
