Graveside Services for Eva Maxine "Pete" Parker will be conducted from the Glen Oaks Memorial Park in Chico, California on Wednesday, October 28, 2009.
Eva Maxine "Pete" Parker, 72 years of age, of Orleans, Nebraska, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at her home in Orleans. Pete was born on March 4, 1937 in Almena, Kansas, the sixth of seven children of Guy V. and Jessie M. (Etherton) Jackson. She attended elementary school in Norton, Kansas and high school in Colby, Kansas.
On June 26, 1958 she was united in marriage to John F. Parker. Pete was employed as a meat wrapper at Skaggway in Grand Island, Nebraska. In 1985 the couple moved to California where they managed a couple mobile home parks for 3 years before moving to Chico, California where they managed a mobile home parks for 10 years.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John in 2002; one infant son, Douglas Scott; three brothers, Oliver during infancy, Leslie at the age of 11, and Eugene Jackson and his wife, Louise; two sisters: Luella during infancy, and Esther Traxler and her husband, Lawrence; and one brother-in-law, Russell Fuller.
Survivors include her two sons: Ron G. Morisch of Orleans and Steven R. Parker and his special friend, Yvonne Fuller of Rocklin, California; 5 grandchildren; one sister, Lorraine Morland of Orleans; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
A memorial has been established in her memory and will be designated at a later date.
