Memorial services for Fredrik Scott Carlson will be held at the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Holdrege, Nebraska on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Darrel Wissmann officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date.

Fredrik Scott Carlson, 48 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege. He was born July 6, 1963 in Lexington, Nebraska the fourth child to Fredrik Haworth and Bette Mae (Clark) Carlson. He received his education from Bertrand Community School, graduating with the Class of 1981. He later attended Drafting classes at North Platte Central Community College.

Scott was blessed with four daughters: Holly, Katherine, Emily and Abigail. He was united in marriage to Cheryl Doles.

On February 13, 2009 he married Sheree Diane Renquist in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Scott enjoyed woodworking, reading, watching sports on TV, camping, drawing and art work. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Bertrand.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Margaret Carlson; niece Lily Mae Davis; nephew, Steve Everett; grandparents: Geraldine and Ray Phillips, Harold Clark and Rolf and Vesta Carlson; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Earl and Myrtle Renquist.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Sheree of Holdrege; daughters: Holly Johnson and her husband, Jay of Missouri, Katie Carlson and her fiancé, James Dixon and granddaughter: Emma Grace Dixon, all of Holdrege, Emily Carlson of Orleans, Nebraska, Abigail Carlson of Orleans; sisters: Marshyl Everett and her husband, Steve of Cozad, Nebraska, Marion Davis of Jasper, Minnesota, and Marlene Detmers and her husband, Karl of Minden, Nebraska; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

There will be no visitation as his family is honoring his wish for cremation.
