Floyd Charles (Chuck) Meisenbach, 71 years of Alma, Nebraska, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at the Harlan County Health Systems in Alma. Chuck was born March 23, 1945 at Holdrege, the youngest of three children born to Floyd Frank and Gladys A. (Kaup) Meisenbach. He grew up at Ragan, Nebraska, where he was baptized and confirmed at the Ragan United Methodist Church. Chuck received his education at Ragan through the tenth grade at which time the family moved to Holdrege, where he graduated from Holdrege High School with the class of 1963.

Following his education, Chuck began to serve with the Nebraska National Guards from 1966 until he was honorably discharged from the guards in 1981. On September 17, 1965 he was united in marriage to Pamela A. Malm at the First United Methodist Church in Holdrege. The couple were blessed with two daughters: Stacey and Amy. The family made their home in Holdrege, until moving to Alma in 1970. Chuck got his start in Auto Body at a young age from his father-in-law, and after moving to Alma he founded, Chuck's Body Shop which operated for many years. Throughout the years, Chuck was also involved in auto sales at Tripe Motor Company in Alma, operated the Tri-Mei Auto Sales in Phillipsburg, Kansas and owned the T & M Trailer Court in Alma as well.

After retirement he began driving buses for the Alma School District. He thoroughly loved taking the kids to sporting events and activities. Special bonds were formed with many students that lasted his lifetime. During his entire life, music was a big part of his life. From 1988 until 2005, he found great joy being part of the Main Street Band as they played for many events in the area.

Chuck was always active in the community; he was a member of the United Methodist Church, served on the City Council for several years, was a founding member of the Alma Rotary Club, and was a past member of the Alma Chamber of Commerce.

His past-times were hunting, fishing, motorcycle riding, lake time, playing cards, an occasional trip to the casino and classic cars. Chuck also enjoyed being part of the motorcycle group in Alma as well.

Above all, the time he spent with his family was treasured. Especially attending the programs, concerts, and ball games of his grandchildren.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lyle Meisenbach in 1960; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Charles and Phyllis Malm; and sister-in-law, Janet Jo Lyon.

He leaves to celebrate his life; his wife of 51 years, Pam Meisenbach of Alma; two daughters: Stacey Meisenbach of Alma and Amy Bunting and her husband, Scott of Byron Center, Michigan; five grandchildren: Brielle, Jillian, Jet, Alleigh, and Jack; sister, Lou Ann Guthrie and her husband, Dale of Ragan; brothers-in-law: Wayne Lyon of Ft.
